Camp Quality
Camp Quality believes in bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer through fun therapy.
The kids that come on our Junior camp are at all stages of the cancer journey; some are currently receiving treatment, others are on maintenance or in remission and others have a brother or sister diagnosed with cancer. No matter where they’re up to, our annual Junior Camp is a fantastic chance for our kids to spend time with other kids with a similar story and forget about Doctor’s appointments, hospitals and needles for a few days.
Most importantly, it gives them the opportunity to just be a kid again.
Our junior campers will this year experience three days of fun, enjoying activities to get them laughing again. They will visit Sea World, being entertained by a few creepy crawlies in a reptile show, bounce on a giant trampoline, have fun with Little Frog a BigFish TV creature and end it all with a hip hop dance party. A fantastic, dedicated team of our ‘big kids’, our volunteers look after the kids for the weekend and ensure they have heaps of fun and try new things. Camp not only gives the kids a chance to be kids again, it also provides a respite weekend for the rest of their family at home.
Camp Quality and the families we support would like to thank the Shane Warne Foundation and its members for the support they have given us in helping provide fun therapy and optimism to these special kids.
