The TSWF Automotive Spray Shop, run by Concern Australia, saw 14 ‘at risk’ young people turn their lives around and start to believe in themselves.
Two of these young graduates actually gave a written testimonial to our staff, thanking us for the opportunity they had in the program. But more than that, it came to our attention that these boys, as it happens with so many, were up against incredible odds. To succeed, they had to overcome severe hardship in their personal lives – for example, suicidal thoughts, possible jail time, pressure from undesirables, nowhere to sleep at night, low self esteem, being told they had no future and were no good at anything. All these things and more came to light, which makes it all the more remarkable.
We at Concern Australia Hand Brake Turn Central Coast are truly grateful for the heartfelt generosity of TSWF and could not succeed in what we do without you. It is also an enormous privilege to have the name Shane Warne at our disposal, instilling confidence in the young people through knowing someone like him actually cares for them.
