Variety and TSWF Bushfire Relief Fund
In response to the Bushfire crisis Variety, the children’s charity and The Shane Warne Foundation have teamed up to raise funds for the children affected by the Victorian bushfires. The Shane Warne Foundation kicked off the fund on Thursday 12th February, with a $100,000 donation.
As both organisations are focused on improving the lives of children, the funds will be welcomed by the large numbers who have been affected by this devastation.
After our discussions with authorities, it is essential that children who have been affected by the fires are able to re-establish their routines as quickly as possible”.
As one example, we are in consultation with principals from the schools who are working with the Victorian Education Department as to their response to the crisis… they are assessing which schools will be taking on extra students, which schools will be able to reopen and how best to cover all of the children's needs?”
We are asking that you please support the fund through making a donation on the website at the Variety or TSWF link. Also those who are aware of children who have lost their specialised mobility, communication and other equipment as a result of the fires are encouraged to immediately register these details with Variety, the children’s charity by going to the Variety Victoria website www.varietyvic.org.au
Over the coming months, Variety and TSWF will be looking at other ways that they are able to lift the spirits of the many children affected by this devastation and make a direct difference.

Welcome to The Shane Warne Foundation
In the year 2000 I endeavored to start a charity that could make a huge difference to the brave children who suffer an illness or who are underprivileged.
The reason I wanted to do this and get involved was because, over the past decade or so, I have met so many brave kids out there, trying to come to terms with whatever it is they might be suffering from, and trying to fight it. Unfortunately, some cannot and its heartbreaking to see these beautiful children struggling.
I am extremely grateful to have 3 wonderful children. Therefore, the simple reason is I want to make a difference - I want more children to smile, don't you?
Although I can make a difference on my own, it is only a small difference to what a team of people can do together. Every little bit counts, and every single person can help to make that difference.
This foundation is very close to my heart and I am very passionate about this cause. I am extremely touched when I see people giving generously, whether it be their time, generosity or by way of a donation to help TSWF enrich the lives of the seriously ill and underprivileged children in Australia.
Team up with me to help the kids,

Shane Warne
